Panorama Route Express

Route: Schüpfheim > Sörenberg > Panorama Road > Giswil

The Panorama Road is one of the most beautiful short-distance excursions in the heart of Switzerland. Discover the fascinating UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch and experience the beauty of this region far-off the beaten track and its hearty hospitality up close and personal. The Regio Express Bern-Emmental-Entlebuch-Lucerne will get you there: begin in Schüpfheim by taking the Postbus. After driving through the Lamm Gorge, take enough time to discover Flühli. Soon you will come to the family-friendly vacation destination Sörenberg, nestled between the two mountains Schrattenfluh and Brienzer Rothorn. The highlight of the trip is the Panorama Road between Sörenberg and Giswil, where the curves become tighter and the road more narrow. The route is along flowering meadows and dark fir trees, wild moors and alpine huts. The views onto the valley and the surrounding mountains are spectacular. In Giswil, you can change to a train to Lucerne or Interlaken (–Bern). The Panorama Route Express runs three times daily in each direction from June 26 till October 17, 2010. It takes about 1 1/2 hours.

The supplement for holders of Swiss Passes, Swiss Flexi Passes and Swiss Youth Passes of CHF 8.– per person has to be paid directly to the bus driver.
