Swiss Chocolate Train

Route: Montreux > Gruyères > Broc and back

The Swiss Chocolate Train is a joint venture of GoldenPass Services and Cailler-Nestlé. Ride in first-class comfort in a “Belle Epoque” Pullman car, vintage 1915 and/or the modern panorama car affording stunning views of the vineyards surrounding Montreux and medieval Gruyères. Depart Montreux on the Swiss Riviera, ascend to Gruyères, home of the famous Gruyère cheese, and eventually continue to Broc, where the chocolate factory is situated.

The compulsory supplement to a 1st class pass or ticket is available for CHF 39.– and includes:

  • Seat reservation
  • Coffee and croissants on the train  
  • Bus from and to Gruyères train station 
  • Visit to Castle Gruyères (only with Swiss Pass) 
  • Visit to cheese factory Gruyères  
  • Film presentation, factory visit and chocolate sampling in Nestlé Chocolate Factory. 

The Swiss Chocolate Train operates from May 3 to June 30 and from Sep 1 to Oct 27 2010 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Daily from Jul 1 to Aug 31 2010. Departing Montreux at 9.12 a.m., arriving at 5.40 p.m.
