Route: Chur > San Bernardino > Bellinzona
The San Bernardino Route Express is the shortest and the most direct connection between Graubünden and the Ticino. Come and join us on a historical discovery tour and experience an interesting trip through the Alps. Pass by a number of forts, castles and ruins, cross the impressive Viamala Gorge and the Rofla Gorge; continue along elegant bridges and all of this in a yellow Postbus from Chur to Bellinzona. The historical village of Spluegen was an important trading post at the jump-off point to the the Spluegen and the San Bernardino Pass. These days the yellow Postbus drives through the 6.6 km long San Bernardino tunnel. Once you have arrived in Bellinzona, be sure to visit the imposing three castles, which were declared a world cultural heritage site by UNESCO.
Seat reservations are mandatory and available from your local sales outlet, at larger train stations in Switzerland or online.
Option: In summer, you also have the possibility to cross over the 2065-meter-high San Bernardino pass.
