Geneva and Zurich international airports are directly connected to the Swiss railroad network, so your Swiss Travel System ticket is valid right from this point. Just follow the pictograms and direction signs, and within a few minutes you’ll be at the underground airport station. And if you don’t have a Swiss Travel System ticket with you when you arrive, you can purchase one at the station travel centre. Here you can also exchange your money and enquire about timetables for your onward journey. If either Zurich or Geneva is your first point of call, you have a connection to the city every few minutes and you can make your way straight to the appropriate platform. You will find the platform number on display panels and screens throughout the airport.
Even if you are going to a different destination, you will not have to wait long for your train – InterCity and InterRegio trains with connections to all Swiss destinations depart either half-hourly or hourly.
If you are arriving via the EuroAirport Basel you can reach Basel station in 20 minutes by taking bus number 50. Naturally, this is covered by the Swiss Travel System.
